| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Newborn Metabolic Screening Act is amended |
| 5 | | by adding Section 3.7 as follows:

| 6 | | (410 ILCS 240/3.7 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3.7. Rare blood disorders. Subject to appropriation, |
| 8 | | the Department shall provide all newborns with screening tests |
| 9 | | for rare blood disorders, as determined by the Department. The |
| 10 | | Department shall adopt rules implementing this Section. |
