AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3850

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3850, AS AMENDED, 
3by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:
 
5    "Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law 
6of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by 
7adding Section 2105-378 as follows:
 
8    (20 ILCS 2105/2105-378 new)
9    Sec. 2105-378. Continuing education; simulation training.
10    (a) As used in this Section, "health care professional" 
11means a person licensed or registered by the Department under 
12the following Acts: the Medical Practice Act of 1987; the 
13Nurse Practice Act; the Physician Assistant Practice Act of 
141987; or the Registered Surgical Assistant and Registered 
15Surgical Technologist Title Protection Act.
16    (b) Simulation training by an approved sponsor as

1specified in a health care professional's licensing Act or 
2applicable administrative rules shall be acceptable for the 
3purposes of earning continuing education credit.".
