| 1 | | AN ACT concerning appropriations. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The sum of $340,000, or so much of that sum as |
| 5 | | may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue |
| 6 | | Fund to the State Board of Education to address shortages of |
| 7 | | school psychologists in this State by hiring or contracting |
| 8 | | for a school psychology liaison within the State Board of |
| 9 | | Education, providing a grant to fund a program within the |
| 10 | | Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium to recruit |
| 11 | | and retain doctoral interns in faculty positions within public |
| 12 | | universities, and funding a school psychologist retention |
| 13 | | program with a group consultation model. |
| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 15 | | 2025. |
