| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4284 on page 2, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 12, by inserting the following: |
| 4 | | "Nothing in this amendatory Act of the 104th General |
| 5 | | Assembly or in any other Act replacing the term "mentally |
| 6 | | handicapped" with "intellectual disability" is intended to |
| 7 | | make any substantive change to eligibility, benefits, or |
| 8 | | coverage under any provision of law. The replacement of the |
| 9 | | term "mentally handicapped" with "intellectual disability" |
| 10 | | shall be construed as a modernization of terminology only and |
| 11 | | shall not be interpreted to narrow or expand eligibility.". |
