| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-712 as follows: |
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2310/2310-712 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2310-712. Financial transparency for health care |
| 9 | | facilities. As used in this Section, "health care facility" |
| 10 | | has the meaning given to that term in Section 3 of the Illinois |
| 11 | | Health Facilities Planning Act, except that "health care |
| 12 | | facility" includes federally funded facilities. The Department |
| 13 | | shall require any health care facility receiving State or |
| 14 | | federal funding to publish the facility's financial records on |
| 15 | | the facility's publicly accessible website at the end of each |
| 16 | | fiscal year. |
| 17 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 18 | | becoming law. |
