Provides that the Department of Public Health shall require any health care facility receiving State or federal funding to publish the facility's financial records on the facility's publicly accessible website at the end of each fiscal year. Effective immediately. |

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-712 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2310/2310-712 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2310-712. Financial transparency for health care |
| 9 | | facilities. As used in this Section, "health care facility" |
| 10 | | has the meaning given to that term in Section 3 of the Illinois |
| 11 | | Health Facilities Planning Act, except that "health care |
| 12 | | facility" includes federally funded facilities. The Department |
| 13 | | shall require any health care facility receiving State or |
| 14 | | federal funding to publish the facility's financial records on |
| 15 | | the facility's publicly accessible website at the end of each |
| 16 | | fiscal year.

| 17 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 18 | | becoming law. |
