| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 67 as follows: |
| 6 | | (225 ILCS 60/67 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 67. Autism diagnosis; pamphlets. A pediatric |
| 8 | | neurologist or any other physician who diagnoses autism in a |
| 9 | | child must provide to the child's family, at a follow-up |
| 10 | | appointment, a pamphlet listing autism-specific support |
| 11 | | services in the area. |
