| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Respiratory Care Practice Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 40 as follows:
|

| 7 | | (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) |
| 8 | | Sec. 40. Application for original license. Applications |
| 9 | | for original license shall be made to the the Department on |
| 10 | | forms prescribed by the Department and accompanied by the |
| 11 | | appropriate documentation and the required fee, which is not |
| 12 | | refundable. All applications shall contain information that, |
| 13 | | in the judgment of the Department, will enable the Department |
| 14 | | to pass on the qualifications of the applicant for a license as |
| 15 | | a respiratory care practitioner. |
