SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new
    Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take powers may be used by the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act for the acquisition of specified properties in Cook County for the purpose of a public building and facility. Repeals the provisions added by the amendatory Act 3 years after the effective date. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding 
5Section 25-5-145 as follows:
 
6    (735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new)
7    Sec. 25-5-145. Quick-take; Village of Oak Park. 
8    (a) Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used by 
9the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the 
10effective date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General 
11Assembly for the acquisition of the following described 
12properties for the purpose of a public building and facility:
 
133-31 Madison Street and 509 S. Humphrey Avenue (sometimes 
14known as 11 Madison Street)
15PINs 16-17-107-035-0000, 16-17-107-034-0000, 
1616-17-107-004-0000, 16-17-107-003-0000, 16-17-107-002-0000, 
1716-17-107-001-0000, 16-17-106-017-0000, and 
1816-17-106-018-0000
19    LOTS 1 THROUGH 10 ALL INCLUSIVE, IN WILSON'S AUSTIN 
20    BOULEVARD AND MADISON STREET SUBDIVISION IN THE NORTHWEST 
21    QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST OF 
22    THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT

14    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
15becoming law.
