|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Housing Development Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 7.21 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 3805/7.21) (from Ch. 67 1/2, par. 307.21) |
| 7 | | Sec. 7.21. The Authority may make grants to nonprofit |
| 8 | | corporations for operating, administrative and other expenses |
| 9 | | of planning, constructing, rehabilitating and operating |
| 10 | | developments under assisted or unassisted mortgage financing |
| 11 | | programs, and may make grants to nonprofit corporations or |
| 12 | | limited-profit entities for the benefit of residents of |
| 13 | | developments in order to achieve lower rentals for some or all |
| 14 | | of the units within developments financed under assisted or |
| 15 | | unassisted mortgage financing programs, and shall make grants |
| 16 | | to nonprofit corporations for housing counseling services |
| 17 | | subject to appropriation for that purpose and in accordance |
| 18 | | with rules adopted by the Authority. |
