| 1 | | AN ACT concerning appropriations.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The amount of $7,500,000, or so much of that |
| 5 | | amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General |
| 6 | | Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic |
| 7 | | Opportunity for a grant to Community Desk Chicago to support |
| 8 | | commercial real estate projects collectively owned by local |
| 9 | | residents and small businesses through a shared ownership |
| 10 | | model. The amounts appropriated under this Section shall be |
| 11 | | allocated as follows: $5,000,000 to purchase and develop |
| 12 | | commercial real estate projects and $2,500,000 to assist with |
| 13 | | technical and business support services for these projects and |
| 14 | | small businesses opening and operating at the project sites.

| 15 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 16 | | 2026. |
