HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jocie D.
4(Roberts) Randle, who passed away on January 3, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle was born to Teddy and Jennie Roberts
6in Trenton, Tennessee on August 4, 1940; she married J.W.
7Randle Jr. in September 1976; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle retired from Caterpillar Inc. in
91999, after 30 years of service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle was a member of Peoria Friendship
11Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle was known for her private nature,
13her poise, her class, and her sense of fashion, which always
14included her trademark hat; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle was preceded in death by her
16husband; her parents; her sister, Lourell Reece; and her
17brother, Sam W. Roberts; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jocie Randle is survived by four nephews, Ricky
19Reece, Kenneth Polk, Anthony (Barbara) Randle, and Johnny

1"Petie" Brown; two nieces, Veronica Lenior and Lyric Brown;
2her cousins, Louis (Collie) Harrison, Peggy Wise, Alfreida
3(Randy) DeGroot, Palmer Evans Jr., Tammi Evans, and Felicia
4(Paul) Edwards; her stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Randle; her
5step-grandson, Quincy Randle; two step-grandchildren; her
6brothers-in-law, Lavelle (Lucille) Randle and Woodrow
7(Maxcine) Randle; her sisters-in-laws, Flora Mae Randle and
8Sylvette Randle; her goddaughter, Kendra Donnell; her special
9friends, Bishop Leroy (Salmena) Smith, Dee Proctor, Amelia
10Nichols, Bea Cannon, Connie Guardado, Linda Faye Randle,
11Antwine Freeman, Joyce Howard, and Sally Williams; and a host
12of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
14HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15we mourn the passing of Jocie D. (Roberts) Randle and extend
16our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who
17knew and loved her; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Jocie Randle as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
