HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Latasha 
4Rose "Tasha" Levy, who passed away on January 14, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tasha Levy was born to Sylvia "Syb" Jordan in 
6Springfield on June 21, 1982; she attended Mississippi Valley 
7State University, where she made lifelong friendships; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Tasha Levy was employed at the Illinois 
9Association of School Boards, where she thrived in her role 
10and was quickly promoted to assistant director of training 
11development, finding great fulfillment in her position; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Tasha Levy committed to her faith at an early age 
13and remained faithful her entire life; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tasha Levy leaves a legacy of love, compassion, 
15and strength; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Tasha Levy is survived by her son, Camden Levy; 
17her mother; her brothers, Austin Jordan (Leah), Ronald 
18(Roxanne) Levy, and William Levy (Tina); her sisters, LaPria 
19"Pria" Jordan and Carol (ReRe) Levy; her aunts, Rosemary 
20"Mary" Bailey, Linda "Faye" (Mark) Gilchrese, and Virginia

1"Ann" Jordan-Benson; her uncle, Edd (Norma) Jordan; her 
2special uncle/father, Louis (Cathy) Jordan Jr.; her special 
3nephew, Av'Aire "Avi" Jordan; her sisters/friends, Amber 
4Hayes-Bolden and Leticia Johnson; her partner, Erick 
5Stapleton; and a host of cousins and friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we mourn the passing of Latasha Rose "Tasha" Levy and extend 
9our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who 
10knew and loved her; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Tasha Levy as an expression of our 
13deepest sympathy.
