| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Illinois |
| 4 | | State Police Trooper Clay Carns, who passed away on December |
| 5 | | 23, 2024; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns was part of Illinois State Police |
| 7 | | Cadet Class 123 and joined the ISP on November 10, 2013; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns was assigned badge number 6512 and |
| 9 | | served for 11 years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Trooper Carns is survived by his wife, Meghan; |
| 11 | | his children, Gray and Ally; his parents, Patti and Danny |
| 12 | | Carns; and his siblings, Chad Carns, Erica (Carns) Raciak, and |
| 13 | | Elyssa Carns; therefore, be it

| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 15 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 16 | | we mourn the passing of Illinois State Police Trooper Clay |
| 17 | | Carns and extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
