| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Chris |
| 4 | | Glover, who passed away on February 7, 2025; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Chris Glover was born in Brinkley, Arkansas to |
| 6 | | Mae Alice Sims and Hugh Glover on October 8, 1940; he joined |
| 7 | | the U.S. Army in July of 1958 and was assigned to the USAMC |
| 8 | | (Army Medical Logistics Command) in Germany; he received an |
| 9 | | Honorable Discharge on June 30, 1964 and earned his GED while |
| 10 | | in the service; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Chris Glover settled in Chicago, where he held |
| 12 | | various jobs, including engine maintenance for the Illinois |
| 13 | | Central Railroad, bartender, bar and lounge manager, and taxi |
| 14 | | driver; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Chris Glover retired and moved into Haven Tower |
| 16 | | in Chicago, where he met a number of new acquaintances and |
| 17 | | cherished friends; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Chris Glover is survived by his brothers, Otis |
| 19 | | and George Gilmore; his sister-in-law, Doris Glover; his |
| 20 | | nephew, Reginald (Dee) Glover; his nieces, Denita Hartzog, |
| 21 | | Valmy (Thomas) Hartzog-Powell, Keisha Gilmore, and LaTonya |
