HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are 
3food and nutrition experts who can translate the science of 
4nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and
 
5    WHEREAS, RDNs have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public 
6health, or a related field from well-respected, accredited 
7colleges and universities, have completed an internship, and 
8have passed an examination; and
 
9    WHEREAS, RDNs use their nutrition expertise to help 
10individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes; and
 
11    WHEREAS, RDNs work throughout the community in hospitals, 
12schools, public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness 
13centers, universities, research, private practice, food 
14management, and the food industry; and
 
15    WHEREAS, RDNs are advocates for advancing the nutritional 
16status of Americans and people around the world; therefore, be 
17it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we declare March 12, 2025 as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

1Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
 
2    RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to recognize the 
3contributions of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs), 
4and we express our appreciation for their commitment to 
5promoting science-based nutrition in the hope of achieving 
6optimum health for both today and tomorrow.
