HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to commend Caden Hartman on completing a 
4five-month appointment as a U.S. Senate page; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Caden Hartman, a resident of Edwardsville and a 
6junior at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, 
7Missouri, was selected by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin for this 
8highly competitive and prestigious program, joining only 29 
9students nationwide for the fall appointment, after completing 
10a demanding application process that included essays and 
11letters of recommendation; and
 
12    WHEREAS, During his tenure as a page, Caden Hartman worked 
13tirelessly, assisting with legislative proceedings, attending 
14educational field trips, and having the distinct honor of 
15participating in significant historical events, including 
16attending the memorial service for President Jimmy Carter, 
17carrying electoral college votes for official confirmation, 
18and interacting with members of Congress and other 
19dignitaries; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Caden Hartman's dedication to public service, 
21commitment to volunteerism, and adherence towards academic 
22excellence as a student ambassador, soccer player, and Model

1U.N. participant at Christian Brothers College High School 
2demonstrate his exceptional leadership qualities and passion 
3for civic engagement; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Caden Hartman's experiences as a U.S. Senate page 
5have solidified his aspirations to pursue a career in law and 
6public service, and his accomplishments bring pride to the 
7people of Edwardsville and the State of Illinois; therefore, 
8be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
10HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
11we commend Caden Hartman for his outstanding service as a U.S. 
12Senate page and the invaluable contributions he has made to 
13the State of Illinois and to the future of our country's public 
14service, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors; and 
15be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to Caden Hartman as an expression of our esteem and 
18respect.
