HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Michael Wenos on the 
4occasion of his retirement after 24 years of service with the 
5Madison Mutual Insurance Company in Edwardsville; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has served as president and a board 
7member of Madison Mutual Insurance since April of 2008; he 
8joined the company in February of 2001 as claims director and 
9became vice president in February of 2005; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos worked with GMAC Insurance and 
11Shelter Insurance prior to joining Madison Mutual Insurance; 
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos was a member and chairman of the 
14NAMIC Property Casualty Conference from September 2012 to 
15September 2018; he was a member and vice chairman for the 
16Gateway Convention Center from January 2007 to December 2013; 
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos is a member of the Edwardsville 
19Rotary and the CPCU Society and a past member of the EGHM 
20Foundation; and

1    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has a Bachelor of Science in 
2business and finance from Eastern Illinois University; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos enjoys spending time with his 
4family, particularly his grandchildren; he also enjoys biking, 
5golfing, hiking, practicing and playing his guitar, and 
6spending time with friends and family at the lake; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has three children, Sean Michael 
8Wenos, Taylor Leigh Nicks, and Collin Joseph Wenos, and four 
9grandchildren, Aubrey Joyce Wenos, Adley Marie Wenos, Elsie 
10Marie Nicks, and Nolan Michael Nicks; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
12HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
13we congratulate Michael Wenos on the occasion of his 
14retirement after 24 years of service with the Madison Mutual 
15Insurance Company; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to Michael Wenos as a symbol of our respect and 
18esteem.
