HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Caterpillar Inc. on the 
4occasion of its 100th anniversary, marking a century of 
5innovation, excellence, and dedication to quality; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Founded on April 15, 1925, Caterpillar has grown 
7to become a prominent name in the construction industry; the 
8company is renowned for its extensive range of services and 
9products painted in its iconic yellow color, including 
10construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas 
11engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric 
12locomotives, as well as products that support energy 
13transition, including hybrid and electric power solutions; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Caterpillar employs over 100,000 people worldwide 
15with significant employment in Illinois, where several major 
16facilities are located, directly supporting over 19,000 jobs 
17in the State; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Caterpillar's unwavering commitment to its core 
19values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and 
20sustainability has driven the company's operations and 
21established a strong corporate culture; and

1    WHEREAS, Caterpillar's code of conduct, titled "Values in 
2Action", encompasses a range of initiatives designed to uphold 
3ethical conduct, environmental stewardship, and community 
4engagement, reflecting the company's dedication to making a 
5positive impact on society; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Caterpillar has demonstrated a profound 
7commitment to philanthropy, contributing millions of dollars 
8annually through the Caterpillar Foundation to support various 
9causes, including disaster relief, education, and economic 
10development in communities around the world; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
12HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
13we recognize Caterpillar Inc. on achieving its 100th 
14anniversary, and we commend the company for its remarkable 
15achievements, enduring legacy, and continued contributions to 
16the economy, society, and the global community; and be it 
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to Caterpillar as a symbol of our esteem and 
20respect.
