| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to commend Renee Klass on her dedicated | ||||||
| 4 | service to the Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated | ||||||
| 5 | School District (CCSD) 96 Board of Education for the past 24 | ||||||
| 6 | years; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has dutifully served as a member of | ||||||
| 8 | the Kildeer Countryside CCSD 96 Board of Education since April | ||||||
| 9 | 29, 2001, and she has additionally held such roles as vice | ||||||
| 10 | president and secretary during her tenure; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass, while a standing member of all board | ||||||
| 12 | committees, has been especially involved with the Policy | ||||||
| 13 | Committee, which she also diligently served as chairperson; | ||||||
| 14 | and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has also been a passionate and active | ||||||
| 16 | member of the Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) Board | ||||||
| 17 | of Education, and she currently serves as its president; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has faithfully attended the Illinois | ||||||
| 19 | Association of School Boards (IASB) Joint Annual Conference in | ||||||
| 20 | Chicago to advance her knowledge and connections with board | ||||||
| 21 | members and board presidents; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has fostered a strong, trusted | ||||||
| 2 | relationship with multiple district superintendents over the | ||||||
| 3 | years, making herself available at any time, day or night; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has been a fierce advocate for | ||||||
| 5 | social-emotional learning, equity, and whole child education; | ||||||
| 6 | and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, During Renee Klass' tenure, five of the seven | ||||||
| 8 | schools within Kildeer Countryside CCSD 96 have been honored | ||||||
| 9 | with National Blue Ribbon status; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has been instrumental in conducting | ||||||
| 11 | healthy, productive contract negotiations with the Kildeer | ||||||
| 12 | Education Association and Kildeer Education Support | ||||||
| 13 | Professionals Association; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has enthusiastically attended special | ||||||
| 15 | annual events honoring the achievements and dedication of the | ||||||
| 16 | students and staff of Kildeer Countryside CCSD 96; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has routinely welcomed new district | ||||||
| 18 | staff in August and bid farewell to graduating eighth graders | ||||||
| 19 | in May with pride, joy, and humility; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass has demonstrated a strong and | ||||||
| 2 | unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of students | ||||||
| 3 | and staff; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Renee Klass will conclude her tenure as a member | ||||||
| 5 | of the Kildeer Countryside CCSD 96 Board of Education at the | ||||||
| 6 | May 6, 2025 board meeting; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 8 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we commend Renee Klass on her dedicated service to the Kildeer | ||||||
| 10 | Countryside Community Consolidated School District (CCSD) 96 | ||||||
| 11 | Board of Education for the past 24 years, and we thank her for | ||||||
| 12 | her unwavering commitment to the students and the district; | ||||||
| 13 | and be it further | ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to Renee Klass as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
| 16 | respect. | ||||||
