| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tyrone |
| 4 | | Haymore of Robbins; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Haymore earned degrees from Northeastern |
| 6 | | Illinois University and Thornton Junior College, and he was a |
| 7 | | scholar of African American culture, history, and political |
| 8 | | science; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Haymore served as executive director, |
| 10 | | curator, and historian of the Robbins Historical Society, |
| 11 | | preserving the history of Robbins with unmatched dedication, |
| 12 | | passion, and purpose for over 26 years; his leadership led to |
| 13 | | the opening of the Robbins History Museum on August 28, 2010, a |
| 14 | | milestone achievement that gave voice to a village rich in |
| 15 | | African American excellence and cultural contributions; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Haymore was also a devoted public servant, |
| 17 | | having served as a village clerk and trustee of the Village of |
| 18 | | Robbins for nearly three decades; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Tyrone Haymore was a beloved community pillar, |
| 20 | | educator, and advocate known for his deep knowledge, |
| 21 | | unwavering pride in Robbins, and commitment to telling the |
