| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to recognize organizations that | ||||||
| 4 | have made significant contributions to the economic and civic | ||||||
| 5 | vitality of their communities; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Banterra Bank is celebrating its 50th anniversary | ||||||
| 7 | of service to the people of southern Illinois and the | ||||||
| 8 | surrounding region; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Banterra Bank was founded in 1975 with the | ||||||
| 10 | mission of delivering quality banking services to individuals, | ||||||
| 11 | families, and businesses throughout southern Illinois; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, Banterra Bank has | ||||||
| 13 | grown to become one of the region's leading financial | ||||||
| 14 | institutions, earning the trust of generations of customers | ||||||
| 15 | through its commitment to community values, financial | ||||||
| 16 | integrity, and customer service; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Banterra Bank has not only provided vital | ||||||
| 18 | financial services but has also supported local schools, | ||||||
| 19 | non-profits, and community organizations, demonstrating a | ||||||
| 20 | strong commitment to social responsibility and regional | ||||||
| 21 | development; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, The success of Banterra Bank would not be | ||||||
| 2 | possible without the dedication and vision of its founder and | ||||||
| 3 | chairman, Everett Knight, board of directors, executive | ||||||
| 4 | management, and team members, past and present, whose hard | ||||||
| 5 | work and stewardship have made this milestone possible; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Banterra Bank continues to serve as a pillar of | ||||||
| 7 | economic stability and community engagement, and it is fitting | ||||||
| 8 | to recognize and encourage its continued growth and success in | ||||||
| 9 | the years ahead; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 11 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we congratulate Banterra Bank on the occasion of its 50th | ||||||
| 13 | anniversary, thank its leadership and employees for their | ||||||
| 14 | enduring service and contributions, and extend our best wishes | ||||||
