HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Sue Eberle on the 
4occasion of her retirement from the Northeastern Federation of 
5Labor; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Sue Eberle has dedicated 29 years of service to 
7educators in Illinois and continues to work to improve the 
8education system in our state through her skill set and unique 
9life experience; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sue Eberle has consistently put others before 
11herself, including spending years working full time, nights, 
12and weekends, until a good-paying union job with the Lake 
13County Federation of Teachers allowed her to stay in education 
14while building for her family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Sue Eberle joined the Northeastern Federation of 
16Labor in 2009, eventually holding the position of treasurer, 
17where her accounting skills, attention to detail, and strong 
18code of ethics were instrumental in overhauling the 
19organization's financial operations, resulting in steady 
20growth and increased investment in the community; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Because of Sue Eberle's ongoing commitment to

1social good, the NEFL continues to make a positive impact on 
2local families and will continue to make a positive difference 
3in public education through her work in Lake County; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Sue Eberle is a longtime resident of Spring Grove 
5and still lives in the house where she raised her children; 
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Sue Eberle on her retirement from the 
10Northeastern Federation of Labor, and we wish her the best in 
11all her future endeavors; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Sue Eberle as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
