HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Chicago Heights 
4Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. on the 
5occasion of its 60th anniversary.; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter, chartered in 
71965, has upheld the noble ideals of achievement of Kappa 
8Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in every field of human endeavor 
9for six decades; and
 
10    WHEREAS, For 60 years, the members of the Chicago Heights 
11Alumni Chapter have made meaningful contributions to the 
12civic, educational, and cultural enrichment of the South 
13Suburban Chicago area and beyond; and
 
14    WHEREAS, The men of the Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter 
15have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to service, 
16mentorship, scholarship, and brotherhood through impactful 
17programs, including Guide Right, Kappa League, and Room to 
18Read; and
 
19    WHEREAS, The Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter has 
20consistently cultivated leadership and uplifted young men and 
21communities of color, furthering the mission and legacy of

1Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a historic African American 
2Greek-letter organization; and
 
3    WHEREAS, The Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter will host its 
460th anniversary celebration at Chateau Del Mar in Hickory 
5Hills on October 25, 2025, and the event will serve as a moment 
6to honor past achievements and to inspire future impact; 
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate the Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter of Kappa 
11Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. on achieving its 60th anniversary, 
12and we extend our best wishes for continued success and 
13service in the years to come.
