HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Charles Earley, better 
4known by his professional name "Chuck Collins", on the 
5occasion of his retirement from WEEK-TV, effective October 15, 
62025; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Throughout his 50-year tenure, Chuck Collins has 
8demonstrated outstanding professionalism, leadership, and 
9integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, 
10clients, and the community alike while working across multiple 
11facets of broadcasting and radio, including news, weather, 
12sports, and sales; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Chuck Collins has made significant and lasting 
14contributions to Central Illinois broadcasting, helping to 
15shape its growth and success through vision, perseverance, and 
16a tireless work ethic; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Chuck Collins' dedication to excellence and 
18mentorship and his genuine care for the well-being of those 
19around him have left an indelible mark and legacy that will 
20endure long after his departure; and
 
21    WHEREAS, It is both fitting and proper that we recognize

1and honor Chuck Collins for his remarkable career and wish him 
2all the best in this new and well-deserved chapter of life; 
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Charles "Chuck Collins" Earley on his 
7retirement from WEEK-TV, thank him for his years of 
8distinguished service, and wish him a joyful, healthy, and 
9fulfilling retirement.
