HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Trimpe Middle School
4seventh grade girls basketball team, the Eagles, on the
5occasion of winning the 2025 Illinois Elementary School
6Association (IESA) Class 7-4A State Championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The IESA hosts 19 state final events each year,
8involving over 500,000 student-athletes participating in a
9number of activities across Illinois; and
 
10    WHEREAS, The Eagles of Bethalto won the IESA Class 7-4A
11State Tournament at Morton Junior High School in Morton on
12December 11, 2025; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The Eagles, in winning the state title, clearly
14demonstrated Bethalto Community Unit School District #8's
15mission statement of "Whatever It Takes"; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The members of the Eagles include Peyton Earle,
17Jordyn Falk, Kamryn Gruebner, Lauren Gruen, Reagan Hendrix,
18Addy Henke, Maddie Hinthorne, Niley Kilpatrick, Eden Lloyd,
19Alice McKelley, Chloe Mills, Zoey Nailor, and Lily Stewart;

1    WHEREAS, The Eagles are guided by Head Coach Madisyn
2Sheraka and Assistant Coach Jeff Ochs; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Winning a state championship is a significant
4achievement that highlights the excellence young athletes
5strive for, and the Eagles' success not only celebrates the
6hard work and dedication of the team's student-athletes, but
7also showcases the commitment and teamwork fostered by the
8coaching staff along with the support from the players'
9families and the community; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we congratulate the Trimpe Middle School seventh grade girls
13basketball team, the Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois
14Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 7-4A State
15Championship; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
17presented to the players and coaches of the Eagles as a symbol
18of our esteem and respect.
