HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Yolina Lindquist on the 
4occasion of being named Miss Cosmo 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Miss Cosmo is an annual, international pageant 
6hosted by UNICorp and UNIMedia in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; 
7the pageant was established in 2023 and held its inaugural 
8pageant in 2024; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist, a Metropolis native and a 
10graduate of Southern Illinois University, earned the title of 
11Miss Cosmo in December 2025; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist has built an outstanding record 
13of achievement and success while distinguishing herself for 
14her dedication and poise; through being named Miss Cosmo, she 
15has further earned the distinction of becoming the first 
16American woman to earn the title, a significant accomplishment 
17reflecting talent, confidence, and commitment; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist winning the Miss Cosmo title is 
19a noteworthy achievement that required discipline, hard work, 
20and perseverance, and she serves as an inspiration to others 
21who strive to pursue their goals with determination and

1integrity; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist's success has not only brought 
3pride to the community of Metropolis and the entire State of 
4Illinois but also highlights the positive impact that a 
5person's individual accomplishments and leadership can have on 
6society; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Yolina Lindquist on being named Miss Cosmo 
102025, and we extend our best wishes for her continued success 
11in all of her future endeavors; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Yolina Lindquist as a symbol of our esteem and 
14respect.
