HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the La Harpe Junior High 
4School/Dallas City Elementary School Co-op eighth grade girls 
5basketball team, the Lady Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois 
6Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 8-1A State 
7Championship; and
 
8    WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles defeated the Oakland Lake Crest 
9Elementary School eighth grade girls basketball team, the 
10Titans, with a score of 35 to 27; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles completed the season with a 
12record of 25 wins and 2 losses; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles are now back-to-back state 
14champions, having previously won the 2024 IESA Class 7-1A 
15State Championship; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The Lady Eagles are led by Head Coach Dave Clover 
17and Assistant Coach Jacki Wibbell; and
 
18    WHEREAS, The 2025 Lady Eagles are Payton Doss, Jamie 
19Heath, Alyssa Marsden, Madi McCarter, Alex Miller, Journey 
20Miller, Reagan Pindell, Kinley Thompson, Aly Wibbell, and Maci

1Wibbell; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate the La Harpe Junior High School/Dallas City 
5Elementary School Co-op eighth grade girls basketball team, 
6the Lady Eagles, on winning the 2025 Illinois Elementary 
7School Association (IESA) Class 8-1A State, and we wish its 
8players and coaches continued success; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
10presented to the coaches and players of the Lady Eagles as an 
11expression of our respect and esteem.
