| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Mendota Township High |
| 4 | | School boys soccer team, the Trojans, on finishing as the 2025 |
| 5 | | Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A State |
| 6 | | Runner-Up; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Trojans compiled a season record of 24 wins |
| 8 | | and four losses; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, The Trojans were victorious over St. Edward High |
| 10 | | School of Elgin and Schaumburg Christian School in regionals, |
| 11 | | Genoa-Kingston High School and Harvest-Westminster High School |
| 12 | | of Elgin in sectionals, Quincy Notre Dame High School in |
| 13 | | super-sectionals, and Coal City High School in the semifinals |
| 14 | | to advance to the state final; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, The Trojans' advancement to the state final |
| 16 | | soccer match reflects a season dedicated to hard work, grit, |
| 17 | | and resilience; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, The Trojans are led by Head Coach Nick Myers and |
| 19 | | Assistant Coaches Rey Arteaga, Danny Hernandez, and Tom |
| 20 | | Bender, with further assistance from Managers Ariana Sanchez |
| 21 | | and Kashia Ortega; and
