HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Amboy High School 
48-man football team, the Clippers, on winning the 2025 
5Illinois 8-Man Football Association (18FA) State Championship; 
6and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Clippers defeated the Polo High School Marcos 
830 to 20 in the championship game held on November 21, 2025 in 
9Monmouth; and
 
10    WHEREAS, The Clippers came back from a 14-0 deficit after 
11the first quarter to capture the team's third consecutive 
12title, the first three-peat in 18FA history; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The Clippers' championship win reflects a season 
14dedicated to hard work, grit, and resilience; and
 
15    WHEREAS, The Clippers are led by Head Coach Scott Payne; 
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, The members of the 2025 Clippers include Yug 
18Amin, Damian Bender, Jake Dinges, Wyatt File, Evan Flanagan, 
19Javion Greene, Ian Hassler, Caiden Heath, Logan Ketchum, Henry 
20Klein, Owen Loomis, Jose Lopez, Collin O'Malley, Colt McCoy,

1Tucker McCoy, Grady Mclaughlin, Rylan McNinch, Gavin Nichols, 
2Jayden Sliger, Aden Spinelli, Trevor Stenzel, Abel Valdez, 
3Tanner Welch, and Cody Winn; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate the Amboy High School 8-man football team, the 
7Clippers, on winning the 2025 Illinois 8-Man Football 
8Association (18FA) State Championship, and we wish the team 
9continued success; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the Clippers' coaches and players as a symbol of 
12our respect and esteem.
