| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James |
| 4 | | Dean "Jim" Bolin of Casey, who passed away on January 27, 2026; |
| 5 | | and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jim Bolin was born to Everett and Judy Kay Bolin |
| 7 | | in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 23, 1964; he graduated |
| 8 | | from Casey High School in 1982; he married Diane Ruth Lacey at |
| 9 | | the First Baptist Church in Casey on August 2, 1985; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jim Bolin became a carpenter upon his graduation |
| 11 | | and worked at his family's sandblasting and paint shop that |
| 12 | | would later become Bolin Enterprises; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jim Bolin sought to attract visitors to his |
| 14 | | hometown by constructing many of the "world's largest |
| 15 | | objects", including wind chimes, a rocking chair, a mailbox, |
| 16 | | clogs, and a golf tee and club, among many other big items; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jim Bolin was a man whose life was guided by his |
| 18 | | faith and expressed through a deep love for people and the |
| 19 | | Casey community; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jim Bolin is survived by his wife of 40 years, |
