| 8 | | gold medal since the historic victory over the Soviet Union in |
| 9 | | the 1980 Winter Olympics; and

| 10 | | WHEREAS, The USA Men's Hockey Team played five games |
| 11 | | before facing Canada, with a 5-1 win over Latvia, a 6-3 win |
| 12 | | over Denmark, a 5-1 win over Germany, a 2-1 overtime win |
| 13 | | against Sweden, and, penultimately, a 6-2 win over Slovakia; |

| 15 | | WHEREAS, The USA Men's Hockey Team faced Canada in an epic |

| 10 | | we formally congratulate the USA Men's Hockey Team for winning |
| 11 | | an Olympic gold medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter |
| 12 | | Olympics; and be it further

| 13 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be given |
