| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Kingsley Junior High |
| 4 | | School's (Normal) eighth grade girls basketball team, the |
| 5 | | Cougars, on winning the 2025 Illinois Elementary School |
| 6 | | Association (IESA) Class 4A State Championship; and |
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Cougars compiled a final record of 29 wins |
| 8 | | and zero losses during the 2025 season, which culminated in a |
| 9 | | championship after defeating Glenwood Elementary School |
| 10 | | (Chatham), South Middle School (Arlington Heights), and |
| 11 | | Herrick Middle School (Downers Grove) in the IESA's eighth |
| 12 | | grade Class 4A state tournament; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, The Cougars were led by Head Coach Roger |
| 14 | | Nalewajka, assistant coaches Steve Wood, Megan Williams, and |
| 15 | | Mackenzie Coates, manager Carelle Yetimbi, and featured a |
| 16 | | roster of Maizie Olson, Nilah Robinson, Lavaysia Washington, |
| 17 | | Vivian Reeves, Alexandria West, Easton Carter, Vivian Wood, |
| 18 | | Olivia Carolan, McKinnley Ross, Amelia Nalewajka, Jasmine |
| 19 | | Spiller, Aliyah Khokhar, and Isabel Forsberg; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, The Cougars are a remarkable group of players, |

| 22 | | seventh grades and achieving a record of 86 wins and zero |
