HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
4Christopher E. Carlson of New Lenox, who passed away on
5November 24, 2025; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson was born to Norma Jean
7(Yucik) and Lester E. Carlson Jr. on September 30, 1969; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson was married to his wife,
9Pagee Carlson, for 35 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson began his career in law
11enforcement in 1993, Badge #243, and served the residents of
12Mokena for more than 30 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson served as a patrol officer
14and DARE instructor and achieved the ranks of detective and
15sergeant before becoming commander of the Mokena Police
16Department, where he oversaw the daily operations; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson retired in 2024, closing a
18distinguished 30-year career marked by dedication and
19professionalism; and

1    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson enjoyed golf, softball,
2coaching his children, helping friends and family with
3household projects, and cooking for his family; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Christopher Carlson will be missed by his wife,
5Pagee Carlson; his children, Nicole (Brian) Adamowski, Kayla
6Carlson (Joe Suppes), Cassie (Jeffrey Jr.) Stucke, and Jake
7Carlson; his grandchildren, Aubree, Mia, Makenzie, Jackson,
8Chelsea, and Natalie; his siblings, Karen (Greg) Laurenzana,
9Bill (Colleen) Gammon, Dian Cerniuk, Sandy (Bob) Banas, and
10Jim Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousin, friends,
11and a grateful state and nation; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn the passing of Christopher E. Carlson and extend our
15sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
16and loved him; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Christopher Carlson and the Mokena
19Police Department as an expression of our sympathy and
20gratitude for his service.
