HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to commend Alpha and Omega Construction 
4of Salem and Lowe's Home Improvement for their willingness to 
5go above and beyond to help veterans and their families in need 
6of roofing repairs; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Supporting the men and women who have served in 
8the United States military and their families is a 
9responsibility shared by all citizens, and ensuring that 
10veterans and their families have safe and secure housing is of 
11the utmost importance; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Alpha and Omega Construction demonstrated 
13extraordinary generosity by providing free labor to replace 
14the roofs of five families in need; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lowe's also demonstrated outstanding corporate 
16citizenship by donating roofing materials to complete these 
17projects, making it possible for these families to receive 
18critical home repairs at no cost; and
 
19    WHEREAS, The partnership between Alpha and Omega 
20Construction and Lowe's reflects the highest ideals of 
21compassion and community service and sets an example for

2    WHEREAS, Through their combined efforts and support from 
3other members of the community, five families now benefit from 
4improved living conditions, reflecting the respect and 
5appreciation owed to those who have served our nation; 
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we commend Alpha and Omega Construction of Salem and Lowe's 
10Home Improvement for their willingness to go above and beyond 
11to help veterans and their families in need of roofing 
12repairs; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Alpha and Omega Construction and Lowe's Home 
15Improvement as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
