HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
4Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola of Skokie, who passed away on
5May 23, 2026; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola was born in
7Kanbhi, Gujarat, India on June 24, 1963; he immigrated to the
8United States in 1986; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola earned a Master
10of Arts in Commerce from Gujarat University, also known as
11NavGujarat College, in Gujarat, India, and he pursued further
12coursework at Northeastern Illinois University; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola dedicated his
14career as an executive in the construction industry,
15advocating tirelessly for the fair treatment of minority
16contractors in government and expanding their access to
17resources; after joining Sumit Construction in 1986, he
18quickly rose to the rank of vice president, where he helped
19rebuild infrastructure across many Chicago neighborhoods; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola gave selflessly
21to his community through service in countless organizations,

1including as one of the founding members of the Gayatri
2Parivar of North America, helping establish centers, including
3the Gayatri Gyan Mandir in Chicago, as president of the
4Indo-American Democratic Organization, and as past president
5of Vishwa Hindu Parishad America (VHPA); he also financed the
6education of countless children in India and helped young
7people throughout Illinois find meaningful employment; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola leaves behind a
9legacy of his selflessness, his warm spirit, his
10solution-oriented approach, and his deep desire to help people
11grow and succeed; above all, he will be remembered for his
12radiant smile that lit up every room he entered and the
13boundless positive energy he shared with all who knew him; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola is survived by
15his wife, Vandana; his children, Krupa and Parth; his
16daughter-in-law, Priyal; and two grandchildren; therefore, be
17it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20we mourn the passing of Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola and
21extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
22who knew and loved him; and be it further
