| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of |
| 4 | | Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola of Skokie, who passed away on |
| 5 | | May 23, 2026; and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola was born in |
| 7 | | Kanbhi, Gujarat, India on June 24, 1963; he immigrated to the |
| 8 | | United States in 1986; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola earned a Master |
| 10 | | of Arts in Commerce from Gujarat University, also known as |
| 11 | | NavGujarat College, in Gujarat, India, and he pursued further |
| 12 | | coursework at Northeastern Illinois University; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola dedicated his |
| 14 | | career as an executive in the construction industry, |
| 15 | | advocating tirelessly for the fair treatment of minority |
| 16 | | contractors in government and expanding their access to |
| 17 | | resources; after joining Sumit Construction in 1986, he |
| 18 | | quickly rose to the rank of vice president, where he helped |
| 19 | | rebuild infrastructure across many Chicago neighborhoods; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola gave selflessly |
| 21 | | to his community through service in countless organizations, |

| 1 | | including as one of the founding members of the Gayatri |
| 2 | | Parivar of North America, helping establish centers, including |
| 3 | | the Gayatri Gyan Mandir in Chicago, as president of the |
| 4 | | Indo-American Democratic Organization, and as past president |
| 5 | | of Vishwa Hindu Parishad America (VHPA); he also financed the |
| 6 | | education of countless children in India and helped young |
| 7 | | people throughout Illinois find meaningful employment; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola leaves behind a |
| 9 | | legacy of his selflessness, his warm spirit, his |
| 10 | | solution-oriented approach, and his deep desire to help people |
| 11 | | grow and succeed; above all, he will be remembered for his |
| 12 | | radiant smile that lit up every room he entered and the |
| 13 | | boundless positive energy he shared with all who knew him; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola is survived by |
| 15 | | his wife, Vandana; his children, Krupa and Parth; his |
| 16 | | daughter-in-law, Priyal; and two grandchildren; therefore, be |
| 17 | | it |

| 19 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
