| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 1-2 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 1-2) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1-2. Construction. The The provisions of this Act, so |
| 8 | | far as they are the same as those of any prior statute, shall |
| 9 | | be construed as a continuation of such prior provisions, and |
| 10 | | not as a new enactment. |
| 11 | | If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of the |
| 12 | | General Assembly, or a section of such an Act, which is |
| 13 | | continued in this School Code, such reference shall be held to |
| 14 | | refer to the Act or section thereof so continued in this Code. |
