| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 49 on page 1, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 16, by inserting the following: |
| 4 | | ""High-impact social media company" does not include any |
| 5 | | online product or service that: |
| 6 | | (1) exclusively provides electronic mail or direct |
| 7 | | messaging services; or |
| 8 | | (2) primarily consists of news, sports, entertainment, |
| 9 | | interactive video games, electronic commerce, or content |
| 10 | | that is preselected by the provider for which any chat, |
| 11 | | comments, or interactive functionality is incidental to, |
| 12 | | directly related to, or dependent on the provision of that |
| 13 | | content.". |
