AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 635

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 635, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4No. 2, by replacing line 21 on page 11 through line 6 on page
512 with the following:
6    "(e) Nothing in this Act exempts developments affecting
7locally designated landmarks or properties within locally
8designated historic districts from review under an adopted
9historic preservation ordinance if the ordinance has clear and
10objective standards and is applied in a generally uniform and
11nondiscriminatory manner. After submission of a complete
12application, review by a historic preservation commission or a
13similar body applying clear and objective standards must occur
14at the next regularly scheduled meeting, and a decision shall
15be rendered within 30 days of the meeting. Review by a historic
16preservation commission or similar body applying clear and
17objective standards shall not be considered a prohibited
18discretionary approval under this Act.".
