AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1181

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1181 as follows: 
 
3on page 1, line 5, by replacing "5 and 15" with "5, 15, and 
425"; and
 
5on page 3, line 9, after "government", by inserting ", 
6including freedom of the press"; and 
 
7on page 3, line 15, after "government", by inserting ", 
8including freedom of the press,"; and 
 
9on page 5, immediately below line 6, by inserting the 
10following:
 
11    "(735 ILCS 110/25)
12    Sec. 25. Attorney's fees and costs. The court shall award 
13a moving party who prevails in a motion under this Act

1reasonable attorney's fees and costs incurred in connection 
2with the motion. The court shall award a responding party who 
3prevails in a motion under this Act reasonable attorney's fees 
4and costs included in connection with the motion if the court 
5finds that the motion was frivolous or filed solely with 
6intent to delay the proceeding.

8    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
9becoming law.".
