|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 19.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (820 ILCS 305/19.1) (from Ch. 48, par. 138.19a) |
| 7 | | Sec. 19.1. The time within which any act is required to be |
| 8 | | performed under any of the provisions of this Act shall be |
| 9 | | computed by excluding the first day and including the last, |
| 10 | | unless the last day is Saturday, Sunday or is a holiday as |
| 11 | | defined or fixed in any statute now or hereafter in force in |
| 12 | | this State, and then such days shall also be excluded. If the |
| 13 | | day succeeding such holiday is also a holiday then such |
| 14 | | succeeding day shall also be excluded. The time within which |
| 15 | | any act is required to be performed under any of the provisions |
| 16 | | of this Act shall be the same for this State and its political |
| 17 | | subdivisions as it is for private employers. |
