820 ILCS 305/19.1  from Ch. 48, par. 138.19a

    Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Provides that the time within which any act is required to be performed under any of the provisions of the Act shall be the same for the State and its political subdivisions as it is for private employers.

1    AN ACT concerning employment.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by
5changing Section 19.1 as follows:
 
6    (820 ILCS 305/19.1)  (from Ch. 48, par. 138.19a)
7    Sec. 19.1. The time within which any act is required to be
8performed under any of the provisions of this Act shall be
9computed by excluding the first day and including the last,
10unless the last day is Saturday, Sunday or is a holiday as
11defined or fixed in any statute now or hereafter in force in
12this State, and then such days shall also be excluded. If the
13day succeeding such holiday is also a holiday then such
14succeeding day shall also be excluded. The time within which
15any act is required to be performed under any of the provisions
16of this Act shall be the same for this State and its political
17subdivisions as it is for private employers.
