| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Downstate Public Transportation Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 4-1.11 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 740/4-1.11) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 699.11) |
| 7 | | Sec. 4-1.11. "Operating revenues" means income from |
| 8 | | nonreimbursable fares, rental of properties, advertising, |
| 9 | | local and state funds contributed to meet eligible operating |
| 10 | | expenses, and any other amounts collected or received in the |
| 11 | | process of providing public transportation under this Article, |
| 12 | | and any revenue which is an operating revenue according to |
| 13 | | standard accounting practices for the providing of public |
| 14 | | transportation and which the Secretary may determine, |
| 15 | | consistent with the federal Department of Transportation |
| 16 | | regulations and requirements. |
