| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1657 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 1, by replacing line 7 with the following: |
| 4 | | "Sec. 29-5. Reimbursement by State for transportation. As |
| 5 | | used in this Section: |
| 6 | | "Electric school bus" means a school bus that runs fully |
| 7 | | on electricity, using a battery pack to store the electricity |
| 8 | | that powers the motor. |
| 9 | | "Electric vehicle" means a vehicle that is powered by an |
| 10 | | electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is |
| 11 | | capable of being charged from an external source. |
| 12 | | "Electrification-as-a-service" means a business model |
| 13 | | designed to reduce the cost and complexity of transitioning a |
| 14 | | fleet to electric, including, but not limited to, a |
| 15 | | combination of services such as an electrification impact |
| 16 | | study, grant writing services, infrastructure design, |
| 17 | | engineering and equipment installation, equipment procurement |
