| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 11-1-11.5 as follows:

| 6 | | (65 ILCS 5/11-1-11.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 11-1-11.5. Outside law enforcement compensation. A |
| 8 | | municipality shall reimburse law enforcement agencies, as |
| 9 | | defined by the Illinois Police Training Act, for public safety |
| 10 | | services provided by the law enforcement agency if the law |
| 11 | | enforcement agency does not have jurisdiction over the |
| 12 | | municipality. |
