| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 11-519 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 11-519. Allowed operation. Notwithstanding any other |
| 8 | | provision of law, a person operating a bicycle on the roadways |
| 9 | | of this State shall not be prohibited from side-by-side |

| 11 | | through stop signs at clear intersections. |
