AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2503 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2503, on page 6, 
3by replacing lines 2 through 12 with the following:
4    "(o) "Roofing work" or "professional roofing services" 
5means the construction, reconstruction, alteration, 
6maintenance, and repair of a roof on residential, commercial, 
7or industrial property and the use of materials and items in 
8the construction, reconstruction, alteration, maintenance, and 
9repair of roofing and waterproofing of roofs, all in a manner 
10that complies with plans, specifications, codes, laws, rules, 
11regulations, and current roofing industry standards for 
12workmanlike performance applicable to the construction, 
13reconstruction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of roofs 
14on such properties."; and
 
15on page 18, line 19, by replacing "bonafide" with "bona fide";

1on page 24, by replacing lines 16 through 22 with the 
2following:
3    "(e) In awarding a contract for professional roofing 
4services, if the property owner is the State or any 
5municipality, county, incorporated area, or school district, 
6the property owner or responsible public entity shall conduct 
7a bona fide procurement process in accordance with applicable 
8law in which the awarded vendor or a subcontractor holds the 
9applicable verified active licenses and a qualifying party 
10credential issued by the Department.".
