AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3251

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3251 on page 19, 
3by replacing lines 11 through 14 with the following:
4"in writing the reasons the goal was selected and why the 
5preceding goals were deemed"; and
 
6by replacing line 26 on page 42 through line 3 on page 43 with 
7the following:
8"in writing the reasons the goal was selected and why the 
9preceding goals were deemed"; and
 
10on page 55, by replacing lines 14 through 16 with the 
11following:
12    "(1) Any time prior to a minor's 18th birthday, a 
13supplemental petition may be filed to address issues related 
14to the guardianship, including to seek enforcement of 
15visitation or to terminate or discharge the guardian, pursuant 
16to a supplemental petition filed under this Section, the court

1may reinstate wardship and open a previously closed case 
2when:"; and
 
3on page 55, line 20, after "1987;", by inserting "and"; and 
 
4by replacing line 23 on page 55 through line 1 on page 56 with 
5the following:
6        "adjudication of wardship pending on behalf of the 
7    minor. ; and
8        (c) it is in the minor's best interest that wardship 
9    be reinstated.
10    Upon the filing of the supplemental petition, the court 
11shall reinstate wardship and open a previously closed case for 
12purposes of addressing the petition."; and
 
13on page 57, line 8, by replacing "to reinstate wardship" with 
14"to reinstate wardship"; and
 
15on page 58, by replacing lines 8 through 10 with the following:
