| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3674 by replacing |
| 3 | | line 26 on page 4 with "complied with Sections 30 through 50. |
| 4 | | The tenants, by and through their association, may transfer |
| 5 | | this right to a not-for-profit organization, a State agency, |
| 6 | | or a unit of local government or one of its subdivisions during |
| 7 | | this 60-day period. This transfer must be in writing and filed |
| 8 | | with the county clerk in the county in which the property is |
| 9 | | located. The entity receiving this transfer must comply with |
| 10 | | all requirements under this Act. This transfer does not extend |
| 11 | | the 60-day period in which the right must be exercised. If the |
| 12 | | tenants fail to exercise this right or transfer this right |
| 13 | | within the 60-day period, a safe harbor period of 10 days is |
| 14 | | created for a not-for-profit organization, a State agency, or |
| 15 | | unit of government to assume this right by filing an |
| 16 | | acceptance of transfer with the county clerk during this |
