AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3719 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3719 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Attorney General Act is amended by adding 
5Section 6.7 as follows:
 
6    (15 ILCS 205/6.7 new)
7    Sec. 6.7. Updated resources on scam calls and robocalls.
8    (a) The Office of the Attorney General, in consultation 
9with the Department on Aging, shall develop updated resources 
10concerning scam calls, robocalls, and scam texts. The 
11resources shall include, but shall not be limited to:
12        (1) information on predatory scam calls that use 
13    artificial intelligence to mislead the call recipient;
14        (2) information on how to access a scam call hotline 
15    number where call recipients may report predatory calls;
16        (3) information on scam texts and how to identify

1    them; and
2        (4) information on strategies to protect seniors from 
3    scam calls, robocalls, and scam texts, such as developing 
4    a password to be shared with family members to protect 
5    seniors from artificial intelligence voice cloning scams.
6    (b) The Office of the Attorney General shall provide the 
7resources developed under subsection (a) in a conspicuous 
8location on the Office of the Attorney General's public 
9website. The Department on Aging shall provide links to the 
10resources on the Department on Aging's public website.".
