| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 4039 by replacing |
| 3 | | line 25 on page 409 through line 9 on page 410 with the |
| 4 | | following: |
| 5 | | "(e-5) The Department of Corrections and the Department |
| 6 | | shall jointly develop activities to support recruitment of |
| 7 | | eligible candidates to the Illinois Climate Works |
| 8 | | Preapprenticeship Program, consistent with Section 5-8A-4.2 of |
| 9 | | the Unified Code of Corrections. These activities shall |
| 10 | | include providing information on the community-based program |
| 11 | | provider serving the area in which the individual preparing |
| 12 | | for release is expected to reside and making available a |
| 13 | | process through which an individual may choose to consent to |
| 14 | | be contacted by that provider.". |
