| 6 | | WHEREAS, Scarring alopecia can affect individuals of all |
| 7 | | ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds, and it can have |
| 8 | | profound physical, emotional, and psychological impacts on |
| 9 | | those affected; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Early diagnosis and appropriate medical |
| 11 | | intervention are critical to slowing the progression of |
| 12 | | scarring alopecia and preserving existing hair and scalp |
| 13 | | health; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Public awareness about scarring alopecia remains |
| 15 | | low, often resulting in delayed diagnoses, limited access to |
| 16 | | specialized care, and a lack of understanding about the |
| 17 | | experiences of those living with the condition; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Organizations, healthcare providers, |
| 19 | | researchers, and patient advocates are working diligently to |
| 20 | | promote awareness, advance research, support affected |
| 21 | | individuals, and improve treatments and outcomes for those |
